John Challenge – Day 1 (John 1)

For those who may not know what this is all about, in our Year of the Apprentice we are focusing in March “Learning as Jesus Learned”. We had a challenge yesterday to read through AND journal through the gospel of John. The challenge consists of 4 bits.

1. Pray and ask God to teach us something
2. Prayerfully read the selection (1 chapter per day, barring the 2nd day)
3. Journal WHAT God spoke to me about
4. Journal WHAT I am going to change as a result (thought, action, attitude)

Day 1 … John 1

God spoke to me about:

John was not the Light but was just a witness to the Light.  Jesus is the true Light.

Change:

I sometimes take things personally if I get stick because of a witness to someone about Christ.  I need to keep it in mind that it is not about ME but I am just the messenger.
